"Off the Record" Klampe
Freedom Fest 2022 - Champion Ewe
Crouch "Adele"
"Adele", is a show stopper! Like her name leads you to believe this girl can showcase the best of our breed.
When she gets stuck for the young showman, her lines run in all the right directions. The genetic lines behind this one, makes her one that with confident will be added to our flock in the coming years. We thank all those that stopped to congratulate Morgan, and inquire about Adele. We will will have this girl out and about all summer long! Show Update: This girl was a class winner at All American where she stacked up with the best in the country! She had a great open show behind some of her pen mates and is poised to travel to NAILE in Nov 2022. |
2021 NAILE - Dorset Fitted Reserve Overall Ewe
"Secret" Klampe 003
"Secret" has had one of those show careers our young sheppard is not soon to forget. She had a tough pen mate to get around, but was easily one of the best showmanship lambs, even if she was one of the biggest. Secret holds many memories, but we will reluctantly turn her in to the breeding barn and not so patiently await lambs next fall. She was won some, she lost some, but she stole our hearts. She won't be headed anywhere but Eureka.

Easily one one of the best Grandpa Dennis has raised. This girl is a keeper every day of the week. She came from a birthday present and this gift keeps on giving! She heads back to her breeder and we await Fall 2022. We look forward to offspring in her future.

2022 Supreme Ewe DMP County 4-H Show
Monica Nails down another banner, and adds another notch to her belt. This girl looks better with age and her senior shepard can not wait to get her home to the breeding barn. This Wolkow X In the Weeds Daughter is scheduled for lambing next fall! This girl will have a great summer and fall with Taylor. |
2021 Freedom Fest - Reserve Champion Fitted Dorset Ewe
Valley View 371 "Bellini"
This girl has a lot of cool pieces. When fitted up she can rock any ring. Her pieces excite her showman! Valleyview sold out to Nichols Sheep farm, and this girl was sold at Illinois Dorset Sale in the spring.
Jeremy and Taylor agreed they could not let her slip by! Twin to the Champion Ram multiple times this summer for Owen Torrance, we look forward to the pieces she throws on the table. |
Champion Dorset Ewe 2020 .... 4 times
Crome 2905 "Caroline"
When the 2020 Shut down happened, we worried this beauty would not make it to a ring. Perseverance paid off. The girls worked all spring and summer on sticking the show flock on the handle. Caroline got more than her fair share of halter time! Her Show season ended.....but her success made the summer memorable for Morgan!
Queen of the Ring - Champion Dorset (V) Corona Kicker - Breed Ch.- Res. Overall (V) DMP County 4-H - Breed Champion (V) Freedom Fest (Live) - Champion Dorset & Top 5 Female NAILE 2020 (Live) Class Winner Caroline was the last Crome tag to travel the ring, and she had many admirers ring side. She will come home to the breeding barn with the promise of the future! |
Reserve Champion Dorset Ewe ......4 times
Crouch 2001 "Paisley"
Fitted or Slick - Paisley can go either way. And honestly these are some of our favorite ewes. Pearl dropped a lamb ... that was good....both ways - are we surprised - not at all!
Paisley has an attitude similar to Pearl - and runs her pen! She is built from the ground up with some seriously good bone work. She puts it together in such a pretty package! Paisley loves her picture being taken and for more than one reason we love her! Taylor buckled down and got this girl "partnered" because there is not breaking Paisley. Here is Paisley's list of accomplishments! Queen of the Ring - Reserve Breed Ch. DMP County 4-H Reserve Breed Ch. IL Junior Expo - Reserve Breed Ch. NAILE 2020 - Reserve Slick Frame Influenced Ewe. Paisley will make an early appearance in the breeding barn - to see what her genetics will produce! |
Showmanship - 2020 -Top Dorset Exhibitors -Crouch Sisters
It is not always about the show - we focus on making sure the girls are well rounded, and solid showman regardless of the animal! It helps to have barn favorites, and honestly the Covid19 shut down was put to GREAT use! These girls spent countless hours in the barn - prepping the lambs for showmanship! This was a memorable NAILE for more than one reason! Jeremy and Cassie will remember watching this showmanship for years to come!

Thistledown Farms 638 "Esquire"
This dude may have started out green, but the green shavings were very good to him! Check out our partnership buck and how well Taylor showed him down in Louisville. Esquire will finding a place in the Stud barn after being named Champion Overall Dorset Ram in the Junior Show, and then being pulled out for a top 7 breed finish! We were pretty proud of the hours spent on this guy and the compliments received ringside! His first lambs are ready to hit the ground.

ISF Open Show Champion & Land of Lincoln Champion
"Auppie" Crouch 1813
After being held out of the Junior Show for a little more RR, Auppie walked in to the Open Show and stole it! Her bone, her depth of body, and overall size makes her hard to miss, and trust us when you handle her, you realize that the wool is much tighter than you would guess! Auppie will begin gearing up for NAILE, and getting some much needed time at her Namesakes farm! She has some full Siblings due to hit the ground later this fall! Check them out this winter!

"Rosie" Crouch 1826
Supreme Ewe & Supreme Land of Lincoln Ewe
"Auppie" Crouch 1813
"Auppie" Crouch 1813 has been Taylor's Favorite since birth. This "Diamond" 15-22 crossed with Linear Force PRF produced a ewe lamb everyone gets excited about. Her elevation, length, and mass are easy to pick out in the pen, and even more impressive on the profile. Her handling for Taylor is a dream, and we honestly can't believe we get to show her a whole additional year. Auppie has a full brother in the barn that we are just as excited about. Congrats to Taylor on have Supreme ewe 2 out of 3 of her first years showing at the ISF!
|
Supreme Honors DMP 4H Livestock Show & Great Lakes Regional Dorset Jr. Show
"Pearl" Crouch 1801
"Pearl" Crouch 1801 hits the mark every time we take her out. Her depth of body, and big rib make her one of the standouts in the ring. When Taylor gets this girl stuck, she is hard to miss. We sometimes forget that Pearl's size is hard for little girls to handle until check pictures out. This girl is flat good, and we are excited for her full sibs to come through Louisville in the Fall ewe lamb classes, as well as full sibs in the lambing barn. This ewe will head back to the breeding barn as soon as Louisville is done!
|
Champion Ewe IL Spring Dorset Show 3/4 of the past years
1st Place Spring Yearling
Grand Champion Ewe honors "Jane" Crouch 1716 Spring Yearling Ewe This girl did not get lost in the shuffle of the sale season or the show order. Jeremy saved one of the best for Illinois, and Jane hit the mark. With her dam Dennis's Wolkow ewe and her sire "Denali". Her pedigree is incredible. Her bone, her depth, and her handle are all characteristics that Crouch Dorsets strives to anchor in our flock. Her profile in the ring, is hard to bypass, and we know her show career in Iowa will be a great one! |
2017 Yearling Ewe National Futurity Winner
2017 Midwest Junior Preview Show Supreme Champion Ewe
Crome 2509 "Jewels" Fall Yearling
If you have met Morgan During the last two summers at a fair, you have met Jewel. This sweetheart has the Frame, Muscling, and Dorset Characteristics to make her a show stopper in the Ring. Morgan won Supreme Ewe at this National Junior Breeding Sheep Show. Winning her class at All American, Jewels also helped Morgan place in the top 5 in a very competitive Showmanship class there too! Jewels also showed her stuff in the open show at the Illinois State Fair, snagging the Land of Lincoln Champion Ewe. Louisville has come and gone, but this combo will be around for quite awhile. The idea of aging out for Jewels has been hard to understand for her 8 year old owner, but the excitement of Jewels babies....next fall....is all this little girl can think about. Placing 2nd in a very hard Fall Yearling Ewe Class, and finishing the year in showmanship with this girl was awesome for Morgan. Her days in the show barn maybe done, but her breeding barn days look very promising! Her hardware from National Futurity Honors will be in Morgans room for many years to come! |
2017 BRED/OWNED Supreme Ewe,
Land Of Lincoln Dorset Ewe - "Orbit" Crouch 1711
"Orbit" Started as the Barn favorite out of the Spring Ewe lambs, and with each show solidifies her place in the show string. This girl has the bone, the rib shape, and the length that each judge who has viewed her takes note of. Orbit's best days are to come, well her yesterdays have been VERY meaningful with Taylor, as she has also quickly become the Showmanship GO-TO sheep.

2017 Woodford County 4-H & Fairbury Fair Supreme Ewe
2nd National Futurity Ewe Lamb 2017
1st National Yearling Futurity 2018
"Mal" is a Lobdell Futurity Lamb that does not disappoint. She has the height and length to make her stand out in her September Fall Ewe Lamb fitted Class. While at this County Show, 4 other dorset families call this county home, and all attend the State and National Dorset Shows. This girl has now been honored with Supreme Honors at Woodford County and the Fairbury Fair. GREAT JOB Bayla and MAL!
|
2017 DMP County 4-H Supreme Ewe
"Hayley" Crouch 1612 walked in to this show ring, and commanded the judges attention. She walks the walk and with her size and capacity makes it hard for any judge to question her feasibility in the Show ring or the Breeding Barn. This ewe as a lamb was Champion Bred/Owned at Illinois State Fair, 1st in her All American Class as a lamb, and was 1st at NAILE as a spring ewe lamb. Her pen mate Jewels doesn't always steal the show, this one was hers!
|
2017 IL Spring Dorset & All other Breeds Show & Sale
"Lulu" Crouch 1621- was Champion Ewe at the Show. She is out of one of our best ewe families, and as a triplet she has grown out to be a long, tall, big bodied ewe with a great personality. She is a "Denali" daughter that will make her mark in your show string this summer, or in the lambing barn this fall! Check her out, her sister and brother have both been sold to do well in multiple states!

2016 Show Season

We are pretty proud of how "Diamond" McDaniels 15-22 has shown this summer, her Supreme honors at the Dewitt County 4-H Fair, and her Champion and then Supreme Selection at the Illinois State Fair Junior Show was a huge honor for the show crew and Taylor. Diamond made the trip to Louisville and ended up 3rd in her class and was named National Futurity winner Yearling Ewe for 2016.
|
Crouch 1516 "Hayley" Champion Bred/Owned ISF
"Hayley" has been dubbed the pick of the spring ewe lambs, and showed her stuff off all summer long. Winning her class at the All-American, 2 Regional Shows, placing 3rd at the OSF, and winning her class at ISF Jr. Show and going on to be Reserve overall, and Champion Land of Lincoln as well as Champion Bred and Owned, we have some more in the barn just like her that will sell this fall and spring, please stop by and let the girls show off their spring lambs!
|
Crome 2509 "Jewels" Reserve/Land of Lincoln ISF Open Show
"Jewels" has been a dream to show all summer long for Morgan. Her great disposition, beautiful stuck pose, and her great frame makes her a show stopper in the ring. Jewels won her class at the All-American, won 2 regional show classes, and won her open class at the ISF. On a lighter note she also won her Costume contest! Jewels ended 2nd in her class at Louisville, Won her Regional Ewe Lamb Futurity title and was 2nd overall in the Nation. She will stay in the show string and will be out again next summer!
|
Crouch 1611 "Nikki"
Nikki has been the fall pick of the home grown lambs, and has been competitive at all the shows this summer. Her stats look like this: 2nd at all American, 1st place late fall ewe lamb at the Great lakes Regional, 3rd at the OSF Open show, 3rd at the ISF Open show. She will also be traveling to Louisville, and we will be showcasing her as one of our structurally sound and complete yearling ewes next year.
|
QuarterMile "Bonnie" Grand Champion Great Lakes
Regional Dorset Show
Alex Ruwe showed this gem all summer, and ran the ring at the Great Lakes Regional Dorset Show. Being named Champion Ewe, and then winning both her FFA Section Show and her 4-H County Show. This purchase off the farm has been a real winner. Her size is impresssive and we look forward to seeing her in the Yearling classes this coming year.
|
Crouch 1413 "Watermelon" - Undefeated Slick Ewe Lamb
This slick fall ewe lamb has always been a handful, but her show ring appeal has never been beat. She has placed first in every class she has entered. Both Great Lakes and North Central Regional Shows, Midwest Junior Show, Illinois State Fair, and Louisville. That is an impressive resume for this ewe that will head back into our production flock for Morgan.
|
Amethyst "Amy" Purple Ribbon Farms - 2nd Futurity
This ewe lamb was purchase through the online sale in March of 2015. She has been a barn favorite since she arrived, and has been a dream for Taylor and the Girls to work with. She is a Hot Commodity daughter. Amy racked up the points at each show she attended by being in the top four everywhere this past summer.
|
Crouch "Lindy"
A homegrown winner for Bayla, this fall ewe lamb looked good as a fitted, but looks even better as a slick. She stood fourth to Watermelon at Louisville, and won her class at the Midwest Junior Preview Show and was Reserve Champion Dorset Ewe. Her twin sister sold to Emily Ellison in our online sale.
|
2015 Show Season
Crouch 1406
2nd place at Louisville, this ewe is simply beautiful on the move. Competing strong for Alex all summer, she is another homegrown winner for Crouch Dorset. She is amazingly strong, feminine, and a structurally correct female that will be lambing out this spring. Look for her lambs in the coming months.
